Our Mission

The work at Helios Labs is directed towards the applications of Lobachevskian (hyperbolic) geometry to science and technology. We believe that the fundamental structure of Lobachevskian geometry, when represented in the physical world, can explain a wealth of observed physical phenomena.

The above picture illustrates the behavior of an electromagnetic field (e.g. light) in Lobachevskian (hyperbolic) space. The colors represent wavelengths and the thickness of the lines represent intensity. A source located at O emitting yellow light will be seen at A as green light of higher intensity, and will be seen at B as orange light of lower intensity.
